BAJA

The "Baja 1000" is the most grueling road race in North America and one
of the toughest on the planet. This non-stop day-and-night race, running
since 1967, covers 1,000 miles of pavement, bush, rock and desert from
Tijuana, Mexico at the USA border all the way down to La Paz, Mexico at
the bottom of the Baja Desert. Contestants in the Baja 1000 need
guts, a lot of money and a state-of-the-art truck. Besides navigating
a treacherous terrain, competitors must overcome directional nightmares,
wandering livestock and sleep deprivation. This superb documentary film
tells of the trials and challenges of six fellows who form Team Odyssey
after their decision to take their custom-modified Hummer vehicle and
