FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Octapixx Worldwide Concludes First DealBrings Home Video and Computer Game Industries TogetherJanuary 11, 2005 -- Octapixx Worldwide, a global distributor of fine television programming and ancillary rights, today announced the completion of its first cross-industry deal involving an independent game developer and a North American home video distributor. The deal will see Octapixx acting as a consultant on behalf of both parties, ensuring an effective launch of the upcoming, yet unannounced game. "This is truly a watershed deal," says Brian Gladman, Vice President of Octapixx's Game Division. "By bringing our cross-industry experience and knowledge to the table, we have successfully brokered a relationship that will give our developer partner the creative control he desires, along with the financial support he needs to continue making great games. At the same time, our distribution partner is thrilled to be making the groundbreaking first step into the growing game business. It is a win for everyone, including gamers." Both parties have requested initial anonymity, but as the product launch date approaches, more details will be forthcoming. Octapixx Games will also be providing a full suite of Marketing and PR services for the developer. "The developer is focused on getting his game done, and he doesn't have the time or the know-how to do much marketing," says Gladman. "We've been contracted to act as the Marketing Communications Manager, and we expect to generate a lot of buzz for this great game." Octapixx continues to seek out more independent developers looking to self-publish. For more information, visit www.octapixx.com/games, or contact games@octapixx.com.
